5 Days Rwenzori Trekking Weismann’s Peak via Central Circuit Trail Detailed Itinerary + Map & Video

Day 1: Arrival and Rwenzori Trek Preparations (Kasese to Nyakalengijja Trailhead & Nyabitaba Hut)
Arrive at Entebbe International Airport, meet our Rwenzori trekking guide personnel and to board the safari 4×4 vehicles to Kasese. Enjoy a 9 hour road trip of through the villages with unique architectural buildings and vibrant market places that sell different agricultural produces. You will also witness the captivating rolling hills covered with verdant green trees and banana plants. On arrival in Kasese town you will get to enjoy a lunch buffet with some of the local cuisines at one of the restaurants of your choice in town.

Day 3: Trek Rwenzori tours from John Matte Hut to Bujuku Hut (3,962m)

Next, begin your 8 km Rwenzori trekking from John Matte Hut in 5 hours to Bujuku hut. Pass through the giant groundsels and mosses to the steep rocky terrain landscape. Wake up very early in the morning (4:00am) and enjoy breakfast and then you start on the preparations to Weismann’s peak. You will then proceed through the swampy vegetation of the mosses, lichens and wildflowers and through the slippery rocky outcrops.
