Day 1: Arrival at Entebbe International Airport and Transfer to Rwenzori mountains in Uganda.

Arrive at Entebbe International Airport and our Rwenzori expert guide will be waiting for you. Next, board our strong 4×4 Vehicle in Uganda, then proceed for your journey to Kassese district. The journey from Entebbe to Kasese will  take approximately  8-10 hours. Hence, it is tiresome though exploratory. So, on this road trip you get to observe the scenic breathtaking views of the  rolling hills of the different Ugandan towns. Approach Kasese town then enjoy a lunch cuisine with some of the Ugandan traditional meals at a local restaurant. 

Transfer to the gates of Rwenzori Mountains National Park and then head to the foot base of the Rwenzori Mountains. Organise and prepare your Rwenzori trekking equipment. Also, you will be briefed by your guide about the Rwenzori trekking trails and activities of this hike. You will then start your Rwenzori trek passing through the community villages of the Bakonzo. Later, ascend through the bamboo zone crossing the Nyabitaba River with the help of the Rwenzori expert guide. Lastly, you will reach the Nyabitaba hut (2,650m). So, this is where you will stay over for the night and enjoy a bush cooked meal.

Day 2: Rwenzori trek to John Matte hut from Nyabitaba (3,500m).

On this day, wake up to the sunrise glow covering the rolling hills of the   Rwenzori landscape near the Nyabitaba hut. Enjoy a locally made breakfast as you prepare your Rwenzori trekking gear. Next, continue your 7 days trek through the forest and alpine meadows with part of the bamboo zone. Observe the giant groundsels and lobelias. Proceed through the tall tree canopies and rest at the Nyamwamba River.

Also, you will enjoy refreshments as you get to take in the captivating view of the surrounding landscape. And also the crystal clear pure waters of the river passing through the landscape. Embark on your Rwenzori mountains trekking tours and get an up close encounter of the monkeys. These are always socializing and roaming from one branch to another. Arrive at the John Matte hut (3,500m) and camp under the starry sky. Also roast meat and marshmallows and stay at John Matte hut over for the night.

Day 3: Rwenzori mountains trekking to Bujuku hut (3,900m).

After enjoying breakfast, you will be briefed by your Rwenzori professional guide of how you are to move to the next destination.  You will then ascend through the rock outcrops and the giant heathers. Also, embrace the fresh  mountain Rwenzori breeze scented with wildflower blooms. Meanwhile, your moods gets boosted and you  feel more optimistic during your 7 days Rwenzori trekking expedition of Baker and Weismann’s Peak. Rest and recharge as you enjoy a packed lunch at the Rocky River banks of Bujuku.

Day 4: Rwenzori mountains hike to Elena hut (4,540m).

Wake up ready to conquer the challenges of the day and enjoy a warm meal at the hut. Next, prepare for your Rwenzori hike to Elena hut along the Central Circuit trail. Go through the muddy paths with some scrambling of the rocky steep terrain and spot the unique bird species like lammergeyer and Rwenzori turaco. These can be seen foraging for leaves and engaging in dramatic aerial displays in the midair. 

Take a break at the Bujuku Lake (3,900m) and enjoy a picnic lunch as you connect with the surrounding views. Continue with your Rwenzori trekking making your way via the Elena River and arrive at the Elena hut (4,540m above sea level). You will stay at Elena hut night enjoy campfire stories and tales. You will your dinner and get to reminisce on the past Rwenzori trekking experiences.

Day 5: Ascend to the Baker peak (4,844m) and descend back to Elena hut.

In the early morning after a warm cuisine, prepare and check your Rwenzori trekking gear if it is in good condition for this hike.Your Rwenzori trekking proffessional guide will provide information about the trek’s movements and highlights. Start yourRwenzori mountains trekking and go through the rocky outcrop terrain. Also,  get to  observe its rare flora  like  the clematis simensis  and ranuncllus oereophytus. The final ascent to the mount Baker summit is a challenging but thrilling climb. Also, this is because of the high attitude  that makes every step feel like a struggle. Although, as you reach the  glaciated summit of Mountain Baker’s peak, you feel the sense of accomplishment because of the stunning views. As you trek to the summit of mount Baker of the Rwenzoris, you take this opportunity to celebrate this accomplishment by taking advantages of the stunning views. Next, enjoy a lunch picnic above the world as you also capture this unforgettable moment on your camera. Begin descending the steep landscape of the Baker summit and traverse the exposed terrain with the tropical rainforests. Also,observe hyraxes and black and white colobus roaming freely. Arrive back at the Elena hut and stay over for the night.

Day 6: Rwenzori trekking to the Weismann’s summit (4,620m) and arrival at Kitandara hut

Depart from the Elena hut for the Weismann’s Peak trek early in the morning after breakfast. Secondly, after the briefing from the Rwenzori trekking guide experts, ensure you have all the necessary Rwenzori hiking gear for this trek. Hence, begin the steep Rwenzori trek to the summit of the Weismann’s peak. You will then cross the glacier navigating the seracs   and reach the narrow ridge with steep drop-offs on both sides. Also, this Rwenzori mountains trekking to Weismanns Peak gets challenging each step that one takes.
